| Who we are Scuba Do is a PADI 5 Star Golden Palm National Geographic Dive Center with 'that special something'. The dive centre is located on Jan Thiel Beach, with a stunning porch right on the water. Our guests will enjoy our spontaneous and friendly approach, and we place high value on personal service and guarantee the highest quality and safety when it comes to dive training and equipment. Flexibility in planning dive trips and putting together suitable small groups goes without saying. After diving, guests can fill their logs in a relaxed atmosphere, exchanging experiences and admiring the sunset - that's what makes diving with Scuba Do so special! Curaçao the Dutch Antilles Discover the island’s rich cultural heritage and fascinating flora and fauna. The capital Willemstad with its colourful monuments seems to invite you to take a relaxed stroll. Among its attractions are the Handelskade, the swinging pontoon bridge and the lively floating market. You’ll experience firsthand why UNESCO decided to add Willemstad to its prestigious World Heritage List. Beyond the city limits, the island is typified by white sandy beaches, azure inlets, unique wildlife and vegetation, and a tropical climate. Curaçao consists of volcanic limestone, which provides an excellent foundation for the underwater world. |
What you can expect
Jan Thiel Bay lies with its nice sandy beach less than 10 minutes drive away from Willemstad. Directly on the beach you’ll also find the Zanzibar Beach Lounge, which has a great restaurant and bar, as well as very comfortable beach beds and lounge sofas for a relaxed day of sunbathing. Jan Thiel offers lots of facilities to let you actively enjoy your holiday, like a surfing and sailing school, quad and scooter rental and a kayak station. Just a small walk away from the dive centre you’ll find tastefully decorated and fully equipped bungalows in a lush tropical garden for perfect holiday accommodation! |

| The Dive Sites | Curaçao is well known - if not outright famous - for its excellent shore diving. Over 80 percent of the more than 60 dive spots are comfortably accessible from the beach. We want to enable our guests to enjoy this experience to the fullest. You’ll find most of the dive sites along the southern coast. The beautiful Caribbean reefs owe their distinct character to huge stone corals and sponges. The ‘Sponge Forest’ will definitely impress you with its enormous vase and tube sponges! For wreck fanatics, there is also plenty to see: several wrecks lie at relatively shallow depths, and most of these are easily accessible from the shore. You could say that the ‘Tugboat’ and the ‘Superior Producer’ have become our island’s underwater landmarks.

| The Diving |  |
If you want to experience the great dive sites on your own, you can pull your car up to the door and simply load up with scuba tanks. Like almost no other Caribbean island, Curaçao offers its guests the opportunity to find their own way and discover the beauty of the underwater world by themselves. It’s paradise for every shore diving aficionado! There is a roadmap “Drive & Dive” available that lists all the dive spots. At the side of the road, you’ll find rocks covered in red paint that show the names of the dive sites. These make it easy to find out where to enter the water. Scuba Do has its own house reef, which you can reach by stepping straight into the water from the porch. Here, you can regularly spot barracudas, sea horses, anglerfish, scorpion fish and lobsters. Larger marine life has been sighted here as well, like hammerhead sharks, rays and dolphins. At about 20 feet deep in the bay in front of the dive centre, there is a small wreck that many fish have made their home. |

Of course, we also offer daily accompanied diving trips to the island’s most beautiful spots. Whether you're a novice or an advanced diver Scuba Do has the diving adventure that matches your wishes and experience level. When planning our dive trips, we make sure that the small groups of no more than seven divers are as balanced as possible, so everyone is able to enjoy a satisfying experience! We also regularly offer boat dives with qualified partners. |

| The Education |  |
Dive education is at the heart of what we do – we train according to PADI standards up to Divemaster level. Therefore we place a high importance on a complete education, service and quality as well as on adherence to safety regulations, which, for example, includes that we do not admit more than 4 students to an open water course and that we thereby include 8 dives in the open sea, which is unique on the island. Also unique on the island is that kids from 8 years old can enroll in special child-friendly diving education programs year-round: Bubblemaker, Seal Team and PADI Junior courses! |
