| Who we are Our dive centre is on the romantic island of Murter in Central
Dalmatia. Dives in the National Park Kornati, the wreck of the Francesca
di Rimini and the red gorgonia in Babuljasi are definitely among the highlights of the Adriatic Sea. With our speed boats we can reach
fascinating, but sometimes more distant locations, within a reasonable
time. After the dives there is plenty of time to enjoy the overwhelming
landscape and culture to be found above the water. |
| Where we are
Murter is one of 1,185 Croatian islands and
is connected by bridge to the mainland. Most of our guests
come by car using the comfortable A1 highway. Close to Murter
there are two large airports: Zadar about 60 km away and Split about 100
km away.
After millions of years caressing the coastline, the Adriatic Sea has created a unique landscape. Today this part of the coast, with its diverse islands, romantic bays, serpentine roads and breathtaking summits, has developed into a tourist attraction. For a long time the Kornati Islands have been known as a sailor’s paradise. Only recently has it been discovered that the underwater landscape is easily as impressive as the archipelago above the sea. Around Murter you can find historical centres like the towns of Zadar and Sibenik and natural beauty such as Krka National Park with its many waterfalls. |
| What you can expect
If you expect the high life, with disco dancing until the early morning
and crowded bars, you could be a little disappointed. What you can
expect is the full Mediterranean flair: romantic bays, the scent
of pine trees, a nice fish dinner in the harbour, beautiful
sunsets and perfect dives. If you think that there are no colours
in the Mediterranean Sea you will be pleasantly surprised - we can take you to
walls covered with red fan corals and colourful sponges. We can show
you caves and guide you to areas dotted with pieces of old amphorae, and sometimes
dolphins join us on the way to our dive sites.

| The Dive Sites |
Steep walls dropping off into the blue are characteristic of the area around Murter and the Kornati Archipelago. Some of them are overgrown with red fan corals which glow an incredible deep red when you shine your torch on them. We support a scientific group that started a project in October 2007 to map these gorgonia walls. Not much is currently known about these corals since they mostly grow only below 25m. |

| The Diving |  |
Whether it is the wreck of the Francesca di Rimini (for which Najada Diving currently has the only official licence), or easier places with an amazing diversity of marine life, we bring you quickly and safely to the sites and back home again. We have documented our most common sites on our home page - please take a look for more detailed information. |

| The Education |  |
We offer the full range of PADI, SSI and EUF courses up to Assistant Instructor and PDA courses up to Instructor. Since Murter is a family orientated resort we specialise in children's diving. Furthermore we provide photography courses and rent out cameras. Once a year we offer dives guided by marine biologists as part of our SEA MORE program.
