the northern and southern Red Sea.
|
| Where we are
Sinai Divers operate six dive centres
in different areas of Egypt. The main centre is located in Sharm
el Sheikh near to one of the world's best dive sites, Ras Mohamed,
on the southernmost tip of the Sinai Peninsula. A second branch
is based in the north opposite the famous Straits of Tiran. With
two more centres in the Bedouin village of Dahab, 100 km north of
Sharm el Sheikh, and one in Taba, close to the border with Israel,
we are able to offer a wide range of different dive destinations.
Since February 2007 we have operated our own dive resort in the very south
of the Red Sea, The Oasis Dive Resort Marsa Alam.
|
| What you can expect
The best diving the Red Sea has to offer together with the well known Sinai Divers service, all combined with a friendly
atmosphere.
Sharm el Sheikh is a bustling tourist destination with numerous
4 and 5 star hotels, restaurants, shops and typical Arabian bazaars,
and some of the most exciting diving you can imagine.
Dahab, with its more relaxed and laid back atmosphere, has beautiful
beaches and a typical Bedouin village close by at the foot of
the breathtaking Sinai Mountains. Some of the best cave and wall
diving in the Red Sea can be found here.
Taba is far away from the crowded tourist centres in South Sinai,
and is the perfect retreat for nature lovers and divers who seek
unspoiled dive sites and beaches.
The area around Marsa Alam is rated as one of the best diving
areas in the world and as one of the few diving areas in the Red
Sea that is not overcrowded and is still totally unspoilt.
And if all you have in mind is diving, then your best option is to
join a one week dive safari on one of our safari boats.
|
| The Dive Sites |
The Red
Sea has some of the best diving in the world. The dive sites around
Taba, our most
northerly location, together with the sites in the southernmost part of the
Red Sea, offer an unimaginable variety of
flora and fauna. Everything from reefs starting at just 10 metres with colourful coral gardens and small sea life such as
ghostpipefish, seahorses, Spanish Dancers and nudibranchs, to breathtaking
drop-offs, caves and canyons.
Ras Mohamed is considered as one of
the top 5 dive-spots in the world. Schools of barracudas, snapper,
groupers, Napoleon Wrasse and sharks are regularly seen. Other fantastic
dive sites are the Straits of
Tiran with schools of hammerheads, the Canyon and the Blue Hole in Dahab - a “MUST “ for
every Tec-Diver.
Not to forget the Brother Islands in the
middle of the Red Sea, only reachable by safari boat. Highlights
for every wreck-lover are the 'Thistlegorm', the 'Rosalie Moeller'
and the wrecks of Abou Nahas. |

| The Diving |
 |
All dive excursions, either by boat or by jeep, are accompanied
by our experienced and well trained guides and instructors. They
make sure that you will have the best and safest diving possible.
Everybody is trained in first aid and emergency procedures. All
our boats are purpose-built and are among the best in the area.
All our dive centres are located directly on the beach with
great house reef diving just a few metres away.
|
| The Education |
 |
All Sinai Divers centres offer a complete range of dive courses.
Our standards are high and we issue certifications from most of the world
recognised education agencies.
From Bubblemaker for the youngest all the way to a career as a professional
diving instructor
and technical diver. All the centres have air-conditioned classrooms
with multimedia equipment and skills are taught either in
the pool or directly in the sea, since all our
centres are located on the shore. Our instructors teach in English,
German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Danish, Arabic, Russian and Swedish.
Sinai Divers' own Course Directors guarantee a continuously high
standard of professional education and ensure that learning
to dive is fun.
