´Why roam so far afield, when the good
things are so close´. This proverb could come from Madeira.
The warm ridges of the Gulf Stream (year round water temperatures
of 18°-24°C) and the protected biosphere provide variety
which can almost be compared to tropical waters.
Garden eels as far as the eyes can see, parrotfish, trumpetfish, pufferfish,
trigger fish and black corals provide a really exotic atmosphere.
Large fishes such as giant groupers, mackerels, barracudas, rays
and seasonal manta-rays or a monk seal can also be observed
directly at the house reef!
